Specifications include, but are not limited to:The University of Florida has a sequencing project that we are inviting qualified sequencing providers with the ability, experience and resources to effectively and efficiently provide the service required to fulfill each individual entire scope of work, to submit responses to this Invitation to Bid (ITB). Scope of Work Background: Plants host rich and diverse microbial communities near, on, and inside their tissues, collectively called microbiome. Recent, multiple research projects have demonstrated manipulation of plant microbiomes probably have the potential to interfere with plant disease development, promote plant production, and ease chemical inputs, leading to more sustainable agricultural practices. The citrus microbiome remains largely unexplored. The project, launched by International Citrus Microbiome (Phytobiome) Consortium which led by Dr. Nian Wangs group (ref. Journal of Citrus Pathology, 2(1), 2015), aims to explore the taxonomic composition and function potential of citrus microbiome. In order to achieve the goal we require: Section 1. Bacterial 16S v4 and eukaryotic ITS2 regions sequencing for 71 samples. Illumina Miseq or Hiseq instrument, 250 PE or 300 PE, 40,000 clean tags (after merging the pair-end reads, the pair-end reads used for merging should pass Q30) are required for each sample (71 16S V4 and 71 ITS2, totally 142 items
