Specifications include, but are not limited to: This is for the modernization of two cars out of the 4 car group. This phase of modernization will involve cars 1 and 2. Equipment must be setup to operate with cars 3 and 4. At the end of this phase of the modernization we will have a fully functional 4 car group meeting the requirements of these specifications. 1. Door Equipment: When a RUN/STOP switch is in the stop position, all electrical power must be removed from the door operator. 2. Control Equipment: 2.1. Shall be a GAL Galaxy controller with DC drive. 2.2. Shall include GALileo systems on both elevators, 1 per car. 2.3. Units shall be connected to the internet for remote monitoring. 2.4. Old controllers and common controller are the property of the University. Deliver to the University elevator shop. 3. General Controller Requirements: 3.1. All switches and buttons in the controller must be factory installed 3.2. The controller must have the following switch selectable functions. Buttons must be actual electromechanical switches. All shall be clearly labeled. 3.3. Inspection, with an up/down switch that is designed so that the car top inspection switch overrides it. The car top inspection switch shall reset all faults. 3.4. Test that allows the car to be run from the controller without the doors operating. 3.5. All controller relays shall have built in lights that indicate when the relay is energized, this does not apply to open frame relays.
