Specifications include, but are not limited to:TC " SP-Project Description,~~Specifications, Employment Agency"This Contract consists of cleaning and sweeping controlled access highways and primary highways at various locations in Garrett County.This is a non-exclusive Contract. It does not include all work expected to be performed in the designated areas. Therefore, at times, other Contractors may be performing similar work that is not associated with this Contract.SPECIFICATIONSAll work on this project shall conform to the Maryland Department of Transportation, State Highway Administration's Specifications entitled, "Standard Specifications for Construction and Materials" dated January 2001 revisions thereof, or additions thereto, and the Special Provisions included in this Invitation for Bids.In case of discrepancy between the Special Provisions and all other provisions contained in the Contract, the Engineer shall be the sole authority as to the proper procedure to follow.EMPLOYMENT AGENCYThe Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing & Regulation (DLLR), Division of Employment & Training can be found on the Web at: SCHEDULINGThe Contractor shall leave the names and telephone numbers of two individuals who may be contacted at anytime by the Engineer. The Contractor shall begin operations no later than five days after being contacted by the Engineer and continue operations until completion of all designated locations. If the Contractor fails to report to the designated starting point within five days, the sum of $500.00, per each working day beyond five days will be deducted from money due to the Contractor.The Administration reserves the right to discontinue use of the sweeper at any time and the Engineer will be the sole judge as to whether the sweeper is performing satisfactorily.BONDINGBonding will not be required on this Contract. Any reference to Bonding in the Proposal Form Package will not apply.SEQUENCE OF WORK SCHEDULESThe Administration will direct the Contractor as to which locations shall be swept. The Engineer will be the sole judge of when each location shall be swept.The locations intended for this contract shall include but not be limited to:INTERSTATE & SECONDARY BRIDGES, CLOSED RAMP SECTIONS, CURBED AREASThe sweeping of the following roadways will require the simultaneous use of a sweeper truck in the mobile operation set-up.All Structures / Bridges and closed ramp sections on:1-68 MD 495 MD 946
