Specifications include, but are not limited to:Abatement/Demoi. Abatement/Demo by ownerb. HVAC:i. Remove existing fire tube heating water boiler from 1963 and replace it with a sectional cast ironhot water boiler and tie to the existing boiler plant.ii. Revise the piping in the boiler room to eliminate the zone pumping strategy in lieu of variableflow.iii. Add boiler specific pumps to the existing condensing boilers to create a primary-secondaryarrangement.iv. Add Chiller system. Remove and properly dispose of current library chiller.v. Replace existing heating and ventilation only unit ventilators with heating, cooling and ventilationunit ventilators in current Add roof mounted gas heat, DX cooling package unit above old shop and computer classrooms toreplace (2) existing heating and ventilation only systems.vii. Replace existing heating, cooling and ventilation unit ventilators near the library with (2) new roofmounted gas heat, DX cooling package RTUs.viii. Heating and ventilation only units suspended in the gym and located in (3) mechanical rooms tobe replaced by new roof mounted gas fired heating and ventilation only units.ix. The existing HVAC units mounted on the mechanical mezzanine will be retained. All the wearitems (bearings, sheaves, motors, belts, dampers, and access door gaskets) will be replaced. Thefan wheel and cabinet interior will be cleaned and any loose cabinet insulation removed andreplaced with new insulation and perforated sheet metal cover panel. The existing heating watercoils will be replaced. The existing chilled water coils will be reused and cleaned if they pass a 20PSI pressure test. Heating coil piping will be modified for the new variable flow strategy used atthe boiler system. This will result in the removal of several coil specific pumps. All new servicevalves, strainers, balance valves and control valves will be installed. No coil hoses will beallowed. New controls will be field installed. The ductwork will be cleaned and system balanced.The grease hood exhaust fan will be replaced with a roof mounted unit. A new greased rated ductwill be installed between the hood and new fan. The existing HVAC unit that serves the kitchenwill continue to act as both space conditioning and hood make-up air. New controls will bettercontrol this operation. The dishwasher exhaust fan will be replaced.x. Existing heating only unit ventilators in corridors will be replaced with new heating only fan coilunits
