Specifications include, but are not limited to:The purpose of this agreement is for the District to select a systems implementer to provide services for assessment and upgrade of the District's current enterprise asset management software - MAXIMO, to the latest version of MAXIMO.The District uses MAXIMO across the enterprise for maintaining our major assets including the water treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, reservoirs and dams, streams and canals, vehicles and equipment, and all major facilities. MAXIMO is a well established and heavily relied upon system that has been in place since 1989. MAXIMO is a key component for supporting the Districts strategic asset management program and provides essential capabilities to meet Board governance requirements. MAXIMO has been customized and has interfaces with our PeopleSoft ERP system, Access Valley Water (Comcate) customer relationship management (CRM) application and other internal systems (see Current Installation document for further details). There are approximately 30 District employees who are heavy core users of the current installed MAXIMO application. In addition to the core users, there are approximately 180 employees who use the system on a regular or semi-regular basis to enter work order data, run reports, and perform associated tasks. The District is seeking to contract with a systems implementer with significant experience in conducting MAXIMO Upgrade Projects similar in size and scope to the District's project. Contracting with an experienced Systems Implementer will provide the District the best opportunity to maximize the built-in capabilities of the MAXIMO version, improve business practices to increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness, and will prepare the District to adapt to the new technology platform. The right Implementer will possess the knowledge and expertise to readily translate the District's organizational needs into functional requirements that both employ best practices and maximize system capabilities. The District intends to contract with one System Implementer on a fixed-price basis to complete the MAXIMO Upgrade. The primary objectives of the MAXIMO Upgrade Project are to bring the application release to the latest version that best meets District needs, and will serve as a future base from which to implement enhancements (such as mobile capabilities) and develop further integration with ERP and other systems as required. The District is not considering any substantial new functionality or new customizations as part of this upgrade project, but desires to identify functionality or capabilities in MAXIMO that can replace existing customizations and promotes best practices.
