Specifications include, but are not limited to:. The following are the services and/or items that the Successful Bidder will be required to provide and such services are to be included in the bids.The following are the services and/or items that the Successful Bidder shall provide to the City of Roanoke: Successful bidder shall furnish all of the materials, tools, equipment, supervision and labor to perform the work. Successful Bidder shall clean and pressure wash ground level and levels 1-6 to include all ramps, columns, floors, stairwells, stairways, stair landings, elevator lobbies, overhead conduits, piping and walls. Areas shall be cleaned using hot water pressure washers. All areas shall be pre-soaked with a heavy duty bio-degradable degreaser. All stormwater drainage system components must be protected against the intrusion of wastes throughout the duration of the cleaning activities. All liquid and solid wastes generated by the cleaning activities must be fully contained and lawfully disposed of. Work must be performed after 5:00pm and/or on weekends. Successful Bidder shall remove all waste and debris and leave the premise in clean condition. City will provide water. All water is to be reclaimed, recycled, and/or reused to the maximum extent practicable. No waste water or filtered water shall be put down, or otherwise deposited into any storm drains. Any excess filtered water at the end of the job will be properly disposed of off-site The Successful Bidder shall be responsible for all permits required to perform the Work. The Successful Bidder shall be responsible for ensuring that all staff are trained and equipped with appropriate pollution prevention and safety apparel and/or equipment necessary to complete the work described herein. Cleaning Product : Primary cleaning agent to be used shall be based on a Corrosive Liquid, Basic Inorganic, N.O.S. (Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Metasilicate) product, Identification No. UN3266. A sample MSDS sheet for such a product is attached hereto for the information of Bidders. Chemical products of the type indicated, or equal thereto, manufactured by Highside Chemicals, Inc.; ChemTreat, Inc.; Sterilux Corporation; West Meadow Products Ltd. will be acceptable. Successful Bidder to whom this Contract is awarded shall submit all paperwork pertaining to the cleaning product, to include MSDS sheet to the City for its review and approval prior to the commencement of any Work. Approval of an equivalent product will be in the sole discretion of the City. Cleaning Procedures: Bidders are required to remove all wastewater, debris and sediment generated by the cleaning services and are therefore strongly encouraged to consider use of vacuum equipment that extracts water from the surface being cleaned. Regardless of what method is employed, all water must be contained and not allowed to run uncontrolled into any stormwater drainage system inlets, in order to ensure this projects compliance with the citys Illicit Discharge Ordinance (Municipal Code, Chapter 11.3-4). Appropriate protective devices, shall include booms, socks, berms and/or other similar damming devices/products, and those must be deployed upgradient of and/or around affectedRevised Jul 2015 26 portions of the stormwater drainage inlets of any facility being serviced, so as to prevent the intrusion of wastewater from the area(s) being cleaned. Successful Bidder shall also take all precautions to protect electrical devices and equipment, including, but not limited to elevators that might be damaged from the spray or from running water.Waste water containment, collection, and disposal: All run off or Waste Water shall be prevented from entering any City of Roanoke stormwater drainage system to comply with Municipal Code, Chapter 11.3-4. Waste Water shall be collected and shall be transferred as needed to a tank or a tanker truck on site. The Waste Water shall be properly disposed of at a licensed waste water disposal and treatment facility. A copy of all waste disposal manifests, bills of lading or similar documentation of lawful disposal shall be sent to the Citys Office of Environmental Management, 215 Church Ave. SW, Suite 354, Roanoke, VA 24011, prior to the project being deemed completed
