Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, parts, tools, materials, equipment, supplies,test equipment and facilities necessary to provide maintenance and precision repair services forthe sludge dewatering and drying systems and supporting equipment at various City of HoustonWastewater Operations Facilities. This shall include on-site repairs at City facilities as well asshop repairs at Contractors or sub-contractor facility. If requested by CTR, the Contractor shalldemonstrate by means of adequate testing and documentation that the repaired unit hasretained its operating efficiency. The cost for this operating efficiency test will be paid by City ofHouston.1.2 This specification covers the general requirements for the maintenance, reconditioning,repairing, and testing of the equipment located at City of Houston 69th St. and Almeda Simssludge facilities. This includes, but is not limited to, centrifuges, furnaces, fans, pumps, motors,control system, conveyer system, dewatering equipment, PLCs, bearings, seals, cables, cablesupports, guide cables, guide rails, chains, support brackets, and general electrical/mechanicalwork. In addition, the specification defines the minimum acceptable requirements for themaintenance, repair or replacement of the equipment.1.3 Contractor shall perform an array of specialty repair services to the:1.3.1 Alstom Power Flash Drying systems and supporting equipment in use at 69thStreet Sludge Plant, 2525 S/Sgt. Macario Garcia (Key Map 494-R);1.3.2 The 69th Street facility has seven (7) dryer trains. Each dryer train has three (3)centrifuges and one (1) complete dryer system.
