Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to:Prepare flyers/brochures/ads for written media distribution, and other lead-emphasis materials for distributionamong targeted populations in Bridgeport, New Haven and Waterbury. Materials shall be developed in English,Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish. Flyers and brochures shall be full-color, eye-catching, and of print-readyquality. Brochures shall be 8.5 x 11 tri-fold. A minimum of 1,000 copies of flyers and brochures (500 each), shallbe printed in each language. Lead-emphasis materials shall be reviewed and approved by LPRAC and DPHprior to printing or other methods of distribution and shall include the following acknowledgement: Thispublication was supported by the Grant Number UE1 EH 001255, funded by the Centers for Disease Control andPrevention. Its contents are solely the responsibility of the authors and do not necessarily represent the officialviews of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Department of Health and Human Services, or the 2State of Connecticut Department of Public Health. 5% of the budget for this project shall be allocated towardcreation of and printing of these materials.B.1.2. Design the lead educational awareness media campaign including, but not limited to, preparation of videos andsound materials for TV and radio distribution, and other lead-emphasis materials for social media distributionamong targeted populations in Bridgeport, New Haven and Waterbury. The awarded Respondent shallemphasize educational interventions for children affected, empower parents to test their children to measure thelevel of lead in their child(ren)s blood, and tell parents what they need to know to protect their child(ren). Thelead educational awareness media campaign shall be reviewed and approved by LPRAC and DPH prior to itsrelease to the public and shall include the following acknowledgement: This media campaign was supported bythe Grant Number UE1 EH 001255, funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Its contents aresolely the responsibility of the authors and do not necessarily represent the official views of the Centers for DiseaseControl and Prevention, the Department of Health and Human Services, or the State of Connecticut Departmentof Health.20% of the budget shall be allocated toward production and staffing costs for the preparation anddesign of the media campaign.B.1.3. Contract with print, radio, and television media outlets to get the approved lead message out to the targetaudiences. Connecticut has two geographical coverage areas by both Telemundo and Univision. The awardedRespondent shall work with both the New York and Boston coverage areas to ensure all target audiences arereached within the State of Connecticut.Contract with print, radio, and television media outlets for broadcast times and/or placement as follows:a. Television Preference is during primtetime (peak) timeslot, which is defined by Nielsen broadcastprogramming as between 9:15 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Overall, information must be relayed between 8 p.m. and11 p.m.;b. Radio Shall not be broadcast during night shifts (after 11 p.m. and prior to 5 a.m.); andc. Newspaper/Paid Advertising Full page ads only and in full color
