Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) isseeking a Contractor to conduct level-of-need assessments which will be used to determine an appropriatelevel of individual reimbursement to people who utilize services funded by the DDA on a State-wide basis.This includes:3.1.1.1 Completing an Individual Indicator Rating Scale (IIRS) level-of-need assessment for allpeople who are newly entering services covered under the Fee Payment System (FPS) and,on a limited basis, for individuals switching services if they do not have an existing IIRSassessment or whose condition has changed (DDA approval required); and3.1.1.2 Conducting a Supports Intensity Scale (SIS) interview along with the level-of-needassessment for all people who are newly entering services and a portion of the populationthat is already in DDA services.3.1.2 The purpose of this Contract is to ensure that people who are entering and receiving DDA serviceshave objective and un-biased assessments for their levels of need so that the DDA can determinethe proper services and/or rates of payments to the service providers.3.1.3 DDA provides a coordinated service delivery system so that individuals with developmental disabilitiesreceive appropriate services oriented toward the goal of integration into the community. These servicesare provided through a wide array of community-based services delivered primarily through a network ofnon-profit providers, as well as state residential centers that provide services to individuals withintellectual disability. DDAs mission is to partner with people with developmental disabilities to providethem leadership and resources to live fulfilling lives.
