Specifications include, but are not limited to:Office of Information Technology User Services Information resources for UA Statewide and UAF are managed by the Office of Information Technology (OIT). OIT reports directly to the University President and is responsible for system wide information resources that are utilized across all of the campuses, as well as statewide administrative computing functions. A portion of OIT User Services is funded directly by UAF, therefore, OIT also reports to the UAF Chancellor and is responsible for centralized academic and administrative computing on the UAF campus and its associated branch campuses. OIT's mission is to provide University consumers with the technology, tools and resources to support and enhance learning, research and outreach for Alaskans. User Services is the customer liaison group responsible for ensuring delivery of IT services to students, faculty, and staff. User Services includes: Technology Support Services, Training and Development, Support Center, and Video Conferencing Services. SCOPE The University seeks a modern toolset to support the critical function of instructional education requiring the use of technology at UAF. To successfully satisfy this function in the modern age, all UAF departments need to be able to record and stream classroom events. The UAF department, eLEarning, also needs to save recordings inavideodepository b e f o r e u p l o a d i n g t h e m t o B l a c k b o a r d , U A F s L e a r n i n g M a n a g e m e n t S y s t e m ( L M S ) . U A F Marketing and Communications must be able to create a video, or record and event, using various applications such as ElluminateLive, Blackboard Connect, or any modern mobile device, and upload it to UAFs LMS or place the recording on a website available for public consumption. Providing lecture capture, web streaming, on- demand recording and a video depository accessible by any department, with permissions able to keep confidential content secure, are mandatory functions of the new selected vendor product for UAFs video p l a t f o r m . I n t e g r a t i o n w i t h U A F s L M S a n d V i d e o C o n f e r e n c i n g S e r v i c e s ( V C S ) v i d e o b r i d g e w i l l a l s o b e r e q u i r e d . The university is interested in a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution that will be readily accessible by University employees in various locations, with particular consideration to those in remote locations with limited connectivity. Proposals must describe licensing structure and differentiate costs between multiple licensing offerings. Additionally, the proposals must include the estimated cost of services required for a typical implementation of the product
