Specifications include, but are not limited to:. SCOPE OF WORK 1.Contractor agrees to provide Landfill Disposal Site Services to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), as described herein: Provide landfill disposal site services for the San Leandro Maintenance Station which is located in the County of Alameda. 2.Subcontracting is not permitted under this Agreement. All references to subcontracting or subcontractors as found herein are not applicable to this Agreement. 3.The landfill disposal site shall be located within a 20 mile radius of the following location: San Leandro Maintenance Station 600 Lewelling Blvd. San Leandro, CA 94579 4.This Agreement will commence on 04/25/2016 (estimate) or upon approval by the Department of General Services (DGS), whichever is later and no work shall begin before that time. This Agreement is of no effect unless approved by DGS. The Contractor shall not receive payment for work performed prior to approval of the Agreement and before receipt of notice to proceed by the Caltrans Contract Manager. This Agreement shall expire on 04/24/2018 (estimate). The services shall be provided during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, except State holidays. Contractor shall provide a disposal site for the disposal of highway litter, debris, and sweeping materials from State Highways and Right-of-Ways in the District 4 maintenance area in the County of Alameda for a period of two (2) years. B. Contractor shall accept materials to be disposed of that are accident generated debris, trash and litter picked up under various highway cleanup programs, clippings from State highways picked up by Caltrans maintenance crews, and sweeping materials generated from the powered mobile sweeper. C. If dumpsite fees are increased during the term of this Agreement, all increases to dump fees shall be preapproved by the Caltrans Contract Manager or designee.Contractor's Name Agreement Number 04A4852 Page 2 of 3 EXHIBIT A Commercial Services - State D.The rate per ton to be paid for less or more than one (1) ton will be prorated for actual weight of disposal. E.The following materials shall NOT be accepted by the Contractors disposal site: Paint Solvents Chemical Sludge Hazardous Waste Liquid Waste Batteries Paint Cans Chemical Cans Drums Flooring Materials Floor and Roof Tile Insulation Vehicle Clutches Brake Shoes Asbestos in any form Tree Stumps F.Caltrans shall pay only for actual items dumped. G.Any damage to Caltrans property caused by the Contractor shall be repaired and replaced at theContra c t o r s sole expense. H. The trash and materials to be disposed may include constitutes of concern. These materials are not pre-determined to be hazardous. Contractor shall inspect the materials before taking possession of the materials. I. The trash is not expected to include hazardous waste. However, if hazardous waste is encountered, the Contractor shall notify the Caltrans Contract Manager or designee. The Caltrans Contract Manager or designee may direct that the Caltrans hazardous waste removal Contractor process and dispose of the hazardous waste. J. Once the Contractor takes possession of the materials, the Contractor shall take ownership of the materials and shall dispose of or recycle the materials in a lawful manner. K. Contractors bid shall include the cost to dispose of or recycle the materials, and Contractor shall be responsible for such disposal and recycling costs. L. The Contractor shall conduct operations in a manner as to avoid damage to Caltrans property and the property of others. Any damage caused by the Contractor shall be repaired o r r e p l a c e d a t t h e C o n t r a c t o r s s o l e e x p e n s e . M. Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, vehicles, materials, equipment, and incidentals required to perform the services, and shall include all costs, fees, expenses and taxes related to or arising from the services. N. Contractor shall at all times maintain, and cause its agents to maintain, all required current permits and licenses required for the described services. O. Contractor shall abide by all laws and regulations regarding trash processing and disposal services. P. R. The disposal site must be accessible to Caltrans vehicles in rainy weather. S. Contractor must weigh vehicles upon entering and exiting, and provide the original signed weight scale receipts for each drop off with invoices.
