Specifications include, but are not limited to:The purpose of this contract is to provide the City of Austin Water Department (AW) with laboratorychemicals and other laboratory supplies. AW uses the chemicals and supplies to test for variouschemical and biological constituents in the drinking water, source water, surface water, wastewater,biosolids, and industrial discharges.2.0 Tasks/Requirements2.1 Contractors Responsibilities2.1.1. Contractor shall ensure that all of its employees making deliveries on this contract areproperly trained in safe lifting techniques.2.1.2. Contractor shall provide chemicals with an expiration date of no less than 12 months fromdelivery date. Contractor shall, at the Contractors expense, return chemicals that arrivewith less than 12 months of shelf life, and provide a replacement with the correctminimum expiration date via overnight shipping at no charge to the City.2.1.3. Contractor shall deliver the exact catalog item(s) specified on each of the City's ordersunless explicit, written permission to provide an acceptable equivalent is obtained fromthe City. This permission is specific to each catalog item and only applies to eachindividual ordering event.
