Specifications include, but are not limited to:In 2012, Sound Transit completed the Sounder Station Access & Demand Study, a two-year effort to evaluate eight existing Sounder Stations, model future demand (2030) for access, and evaluate how the implementation of access improvement projects for alternative modes (e.g. bicycling and walking) could reduce the amount of parking needed to meet future demand. The study provided a range of potential access improvement projects to consider that could allow riders to use alternatives modes to travel to the Sounder stations. These and/or other potential access improvement projects to be identified will need to be combined into appropriate packages that fit within the projects available budgets and address needs identified for each station. This work will take place as part of a contract that addresses access improvements at both the Kent and Auburn Stations. A variety of access project packages will be considered for each station, and may include combinations of improvements to: Bicycle facilities Pedestrian access Pick up/drop off areas Connections to feeder transit Parking
