Specifications include, but are not limited to:The intent of this Request for Interest Prequalification (RFI-PQ) is to establish a pool of prequalified janitorial coarse paper products, as required by the County of Alameda (County). Proposed coarse paper products will be tested, and those that meet the specifications will be prequalified by the County.The County intends to release a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and award a three-year contract (with option to renew) to the bidder(s) selected the lowest cost responsible bidder whose response meets the Countys requirements.The County of Alameda does not guarantee that a subsequent RFQ will be issued. Should an RFQ be issued, the terms and conditions described in this RFI-PQ are not guaranteed to remain exactly the same.SCOPEThe General Services Agency Building Maintenance Department (BMD) is interested in procuring janitorial coarse paper products that meet the Countys product and environmental specifications. Proposed products will be tested, and those meeting the Countys requirements shall be included with the pool of approved janitorial coarse paper products in the subsequent RFQ. Bidders will submit bids only for the preapproved items specifically listed in the RFQ.BMD provides maintenance and operation services for over 150 County owned and leased facilities. These buildings include offices, detention facilities, the Veterans Building, firing ranges, parking structures, and training facilities. BMD provides the maintenance services required to assure clean, safe, and functionally operative facilities. Other departments and agencies, such as the Probation Department, Alameda County Library, and the Sheriffs Department are also interested in obtaining coarse paper items for their service needs.VENDOR QUALIFICATION CRITERIAVendor minimum qualification criteria include, but are not limited, to the following:Bidder shall be regularly and continuously engaged in the business of providing janitorial coarse paper products for at least two years;Bidder must possess (or have access to) a fleet of delivery trucks or access to a delivery service that can make immediate deliveries to designated delivery locations throughout the County within 72 business hours from receipt of order; and,Napkin, paper L3141 12 x 13 inches, White Lunch Napkin quarter fold type, single-ply sulphite, embossed finished, Recycled Content: 30% minimum post-consumer materials 2.Towel, paper, multi-fold, single-ply, minimum brightness 82, approx. size 9-1/4 x 9-1/4 inches, Recycled Content: 40% minimum post-consumer materials
