Specifications include, but are not limited to:ION CHROMATOGRAPHY SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS The Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment Laboratory is seeking bids to replace a Dionex ICS-2000 Ion Chromatography Instrument purchased in 2009 that was recently damaged in a power outage/surge with an instrument of similar grade and options for routine analysis. The bid request is with the intent to purchase an Ion Chromatography Instrument however the department will also entertain instrument lease options that are economically feasible. A. 1-Ion Chromatography Instrument-Mid-grade for Routine Analysis a. The Ion Chromatography (IC) System must be controlled by a computer in Windows 7 or higher environment for automated operation. (Weld County IT will supply the computer) b. The Conductivity Detector should have a wide linear dynamic range, which allows for detection and integration of components that vary over many orders of magnitude in concentration that allows for the detection of a broad variety of compounds. c. The IC pump should have electronic pressure set points having precise control of eluent flows for the basis of retention reproducibility and locking. d. The IC system flow path must be made of PEEK inert tubing. e. The user has the choice of generating methods, checking run parameters, and controlling the system from the computer/chromatography software provided with the system or by an instrument programmable face panel. f. The ICs computer software interface must also have the ability to display real-time chromatograms. g. The column heater should be capable of housing guard and analytical columns, and have programmable set points from 5 degrees above ambient up to 80 degrees centigrade. h. The IC should include an internal digital to digital link interface so that it may be controlled from the systems computer/chromatography software. i. The IC must have a Multi-port injection valve to accommodate an auto-sampler. j. The IC should have a degasser integrated into the system. (if applicable). k. The IC should have automated Eluent Generation for either Potassium Hydroxide or Bicarbonate eluents. l. The IC system must meet the requirements of EPA Methods 300.0 and 300.1 B. 1-Liquid automated/integrated autosampler a. The autosampler must be compliant with US-EPA Methods 300.0 and 300.1 for the analysis of drinking water, groundwater, wastewater, and other environmental water matrices. b. The autosampler should be capable of having a wide range of dilution options for aqueous samples and/or standards. c. The autosampler should have complete random access from the IC Software, so that priority samples can be added at any time, without having to pause the sample sequence, or reorganizing the rack. d. The autosampler vials should filter the sample prior to the injection port valve of the IC system. e. The autosampler must be able to use non-proprietary vials available from multiple vendors without voiding warranty. f. The autosampler must at least have a 25 sample turret
