Specifications include, but are not limited to:Project OverviewOn a contingency basis, the Contractor(s) will provide support to the Louisiana Bureau of EmergencyMedical Services (BEMS) during a declared State of Emergency and upon activation by the BEMSDirector or designee. The Contractor(s) will assist BEMS with up to two (2) deliverables at thedirection of the DHH BEMS.Upon activation, the BEMS Director, or his designee, will notify the Contractor(s) via writtencommunication to activate the contingency contracts. The Contractor(s) will provide staffing andoperational support to BEMS during a declared emergency:A. Contract will activate upon written notification of the DHH BEMS Director or his designee.B. Once activated, Contractor(s) will remain in an active status until officially notified by the DHHBEMS Director or his designee via written notification.C. Upon activation, the contractor(s) resources must be at the designated site locations no later than thefollowing time frames. 25% of requested resources should arrive within 6 hours, 50% of therequested resources should arrive within 12 hours, and 100% of the requested resources must arrivewithin 24 hours.D. Contract functions are 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, (24/7) unless otherwise specified by theBEMS Director. Operational periods will be specified by the BEMS Director. For each ambulanceprovided, two (2) personnel (meeting the requirements below) must be supplied per operationalperiod.E. Contractors key personnel assigned to the contract may not be replaced without the written consentof the BEMS Director provided an equally qualified replacement is offered. Key personnel for thesepurposes should be identified in the proposal.F. Contractor(s) will be responsible for paying their personnel and calculating their reimbursablewages.
