Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Los Angeles County Fire (LACOFD) seeks the service of a certified and experienced vendor to furnish and install all equipment, materials, supplies, labor, and hardware to remove and install one (1) new Air Piping System at the Pacoima Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Repair/Test Shop, 12605 Osborne Street, Pacoima Ca, 91331. The SCBA Shop in Pacoima has an existing air piping system that is over 25 years old. The existing system must be replaced being that repairs can no longer be performed.LACOFD is requesting to have one (1) Vendor to complete the entire re-piping project. Third party contracting will not be allowed.The new air system will be installed to The Bauer Unicus 25E3 compressor.BackgroundThe amount of tanks tested and serviced on a monthly basis is 300-400. The type of gas that will be processed through the new Air System will be Grade D breathing air. The SCBA Repair/Test Shop is used to operate, maintenance, and test equipment for repairs and required flow testing of SCBAs and other equipment. The SCBA Shop also fills SCBA air cylinders. The SCBA Shop will be used for the refilling of storage air on the mobile SCBA Testing unit that is being built.DeliverablesThe Air Piping System shall include: 18 total outlets6 test benches 6 air chucks at test benched2 SCBA flow test benches3 SCBA air cylinder connections1 for connection to refill external air storagePiping shall be constructed of stainless steel The qualified vendor shall provide the estimated hours of labor to re-pipe the SCBA shop in Pacoima.The qualified vendor shall provide a list of materials needed to complete the re-pipe of the SCBA shop in Pacoima.All electrical requirements to the SCBA Shop will be completed by LACoFD Construction & MaintenanceThe qualified vendor must be an Authorized Bauer Service Center Technician so that the new air system does not void the existing warranty to the Bauer Unicus 25E3. All construction that will be required to be performed to the SCBA Shop shall be completed by LACoFD Construction & Maintenance The qualified vendor will complete all required leak tests to the new air system once the installation is completed to ensure of no leaks or faulty connections.
