Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide all basic services legally required of a licensed funeral director and funeral home by the State of Ohio. Provide all necessary transportation services of the deceased, with the normal duties of a funeral home, in conjunction with the Montgomery County Coroners Office. Assist with determination that the individual meets the definition of indigent set by Federal regulations, i.e. 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Complete all necessary paperwork, to include but not limited to, burial transit permit, authorization forms, death certificate and death notice for publication in the local newspaper. Successful bidder shall work with any surviving family of the deceased to compile all necessary information to include but not limited to: social security number, address, date of death, next of kin, and other information. Successful provider shall pick up the body from the Montgomery County Coroners Office within 48 hours of notification.
