Specifications include, but are not limited to:Workforce Safety & Insurance (State) is soliciting proposals from an independent third party to survey medical providers within the state of North Dakota in order to identify duly qualified and willing North Dakota providers capable of conducting quality IMEs and IMRs. Historically WSI has had little success in identifying and retaining competent and skilled in state providers willing to assist in this admittedly complicated and often litigious area. Competences for consideration of providers includes previous experience in conducting IMEs and IMRs; willingness to conduct IMEs and IMRs for WSI; understanding the necessity for the IME; willingness to critique and possibly criticize in-state colleagues; ability to produce written report (sample); ability to defend written results willingness to testify in legal proceeding resulting from IME findings; experience in testifying in legal proceedings; and time schedule supportive of scheduling IMEs and IMRs, developing and submitting written report to WSI.The proposal must also include an analysis of the reasons or objections of the surveyed providers which are contributing to a lack of willingness or ability of the providers to perform IMEs and IMRs for WSI. The analysis should also include potential strategies to mitigate those reasons or objections that WSI could reasonably implement to encourage participation of North Dakota providers to perform IMEs and IMRs.Vendors will be asked to propose an action plan detailing their process of:identifying providerscorrespondence with providerssurvey tool to be answered by providersmethod(s) of contacting providersreporting format to WSI of current status and final results of findingstimeline outlining the complete process.Vendors will at a minimum:work with WSI staff to identify provider/provider groups/health systems to survey their participation in conducting quality IMEs and IMRsdevelop and issue a questionnaire, survey instrument, or other means of receiving a response from providers and the submission of sample/template IME and IMR report the provider has previously developed and used effectivelyfollow-up process of providers not respondingassemble data and responsesmake judgments and recommendations regarding willing providers abilities to issue and defend opinionssubmit status and final reports detailing results to WSI
