Specifications include, but are not limited to: The services provided by the Vendor will include the following.1. This work includes the provision of all labor, material, equipment, supervision and administration to integrate thework outlined. In general, the scope of work will include:a. To establish a one year Indefinite Delivery Contract for floor tile work in the District. This contract will berenewable for four additional years, if both parties are in agreement.b. Removal and disposal of existing VCT, base and carpet (must be disposed of off-site at the contractors expense).c. Furnish & Install Armstrong Excelon Standard Floor Tile, color to be specified as needed.d. Rock Hill Schools reserves the right to negotiate with awarded contractor for specialty type floor needs notspecifically specified herein.e. This contract does not guarantee any work to awarded vendor(s).f. Contractors shall leave building clean & free of debris at the end of each work day.g. Contractors are required to sign in at each location each day.h. No smoking or alcoholic beverages are allowed on school property.i. Work will be coordinated with Rock Hill School District Three employees who will have approval authority overall work.j. Current S.C. General Contractors License must be submitted with your Bid.k. Any applicable State licenses must be included.l. Multiple awards will be made for these services. The cost charge will be as proposed in the BID.m. Rock Hill School District Three technicians will be available to advise as needed and will have final approvalover any and all work to be done in our District. 102. Background Checks: No persons / personnel will be allowed on site without the following background checks:Nationwide, Sex Offender check, Social Security Number check. This information is to be provided to the Ownerprior to the scheduled access for each person. It will be the Owners decision on acceptability of all personnel. Eachperson / all personnel must wear a badge with name, photograph, and company name.3. An annual SLED check shall be performed on any employee working on school grounds. This report shall be turnedinto Purchasing before the beginning of the annual contract start date.4. Awarded Contractor is responsible for disposal of old carpet, all scraps, plastic backing, plastic covers and debris offsite.Contractor shall leave building clean & free of debris at the end of each work day.5. Bid prices will remain firm throughout the entire contract period. Any request for price increase must be submitted tothe District at least ninety (90) days prior to the renewal date. (Price increases will only become effective if approvedin writing by the Purchasing Director). The maximum increase will not exceed the unadjusted percent change fromthe previous year shown in the Consumer Price Index (CPI), All Urban Consumers (CPI-U), Other Goods andServices or the current market conditions as determined by the Contract Administrator.6. Moving of normal classroom/office furniture and re-setting the rooms are to be provided at no additional costs. Theseinclude, but are not limited to: student desks, chairs, bookcases, teacher desks, file cabinets, chairs and tables. Heavyequipment and/or other furniture will be negotiated with the contractor on an as needed basis.7. Work hours may include nights and weekends with approval of the Director of Operations or approved alternate.Regular daytime hours will be observed when it is not disruptive to the students. No over-time charges will beallowed.8. Some borders will be required.9. WORKMANSHIPAll workmen shall be thoroughly experienced and/or trained and certified in the particular trade or class in which theyare employed. All work shall be done according to the specifications covering the class or type of work and shallmeet the approval of the School Districts representative.10. LIABILITYThe contractor shall assume liability for damage or loss resulting from the wrongful act(s) and/or negligenceof his employees. The contractor or his insurer shall reimburse the School District for any such damage orloss within 30 days.a. Subcontracting The contractor shall not subcontract any portion of this contract without prior written approval from theSchool District, which consent shall not be unreasonably withheld provided, contractor remains liable forperformance of all items of this contract.b. Laws The contractor shall comply with all laws, ordinances, codes, rules and regulations bearing on the conduct ofthe work, including those of Federal, State, and Local agencies having jurisdiction. This shall include but notbe limited to minimum wages, labor and equal employment opportunity laws.11. SAFETY, DAMAGE OR THEFTContractor shall be responsible for complying at all times of this contract with, OSHA, AHERA, SCDHEC, and EPArequirements and shall immediately report any loss of time or injuries to the Director of Operations (803) 981-1150.12. SECURITYThe Contractor shall be responsible for safeguarding against loss, theft, or damage of all Rock Hill School Districtsproperty, materials, equipment, and accessories that might be exposed to the contractors personnel. Guns, knives, orother dangerous weapons shall not be allowed on campus. Smoking, alcohol and drugs are prohibited on the campus. 1113. UNAUTHORIZED PERSONNELContractors personnel shall not allow any unauthorized persons in school buildings (children, friends, or anyone elsenot authorized by School District or contractor).14. PRICINGProposals should include unit cost per the bid form in Section H. If the contractor pricing schedule is based on otherfactors, then pricing submitted with proposal must include all information necessary to convert the pricing structure tothe required unit costs.15. CONTRACT TERMSThis will be a one-year contract from the date of award, with the option to renew for four (4) additional one-yearperiods if all parties are in agreement.16. CONTRACTORS LISENCEContractor that receives award will be required to obtain any required licenses prior to commencement of work. SCLaw requires that any construction type work over $5,000 requires a SC General Contractors License.A copy of your SC Contractors License must be included with your bid.
