Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Integrated Support for Learning, PK-8 Division at the Vermont Agency of Education (AOE) is requesting proposals from individuals or organizations with expertise in improvement of the professional preparation for early educators, particularly in the areas of incorporation of professional standards, used of evidence-based and recommended practices, and knowledge and use of practices that support children who are culturally, linguistically, and individually diverse and their families. Scope of Work: The successful proposal will describe in detail how the bidder will accomplish the following responsibilities:Support development of frameworks, tools, and professional development to support high-quality, inclusive early childhood programs and practices that align with Vermonts Early Multi-Tiered System of Supports (Early VT-MTSS) and Vermont Early Learning Standards (VELS). Specifically:Develop and adopt a set of state guiding principles on the full participation of each childDevelop an early childhood practitioner resource toolkit on evidence-based practices and resources that is aligned with Vermonts Early-MTSS, DEC Recommended Practices, and the Vermont Early Learning Standards (VELS)Develop and distribute a one-way listserv to provide Vermont early childhood personnel with resources to support ongoing use of the Vermont Early Learning Standards (VELS)Support the design, development, delivery and evaluation of professional development on the newly revised VELS, including a Master Class for higher education faculty and professional development providers on effective ways to incorporate the VELS in their ongoing work
