Specifications include, but are not limited to:The University is seeking bids from qualified companies to perform hydraulic lift equipment inspections and as needed repairs for the Facilities Management Operations Division. All parts provided for repairs must be factory new and without defect. Any waste debris generated as a result of the Contractors work will be removed and properly disposed of by the Contractor in full compliance with all EPA, federal, state, and local guidelines. The award of this bid will result in a convenience contract with an initial term of three (3) years, along with the option for two (2) extension periods, each one (1) year in duration. All work will be scheduled and performed under the direction of University Facilities Management employees. Contractor Requirements:Must provide properly trained, qualified, and experienced technicians with certification to perform safety inspections on the listed equipment. Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience with lift repair/maintenance services Bid response must contain a listing of the proposed field technicians that will be assigned to the University along with their qualifications and work experience. Must provide a copy of the Contractors safety manual detailing specific methods used in the training of employees. Must maintain a professional demeanor, observing all University policies, including the Universitys zero tolerance for sexual harassment. The Contractor must also review, understand, and comply with the requirements of the UNC Charlotte Safety Office as indicated in the link below: The Contractor will be financially responsible for any accident, injury, or damage to University, or private property resulting from the Contractors negligence. Contract Requirements: All work shall be performed in full compliance with OSHA standards meeting all national, state, & local codes. Inspection and repair work must comply with University Safety Office requirements for lifts. Please note the information pertaining to the preventative maintenance inspections is found under Section 8 of the link below: The Contractor will secure the area where equipment will be inspected, barricading the area properly to secure the safety of all students, faculty, staff, and the Contractors personnel
