Specifications include, but are not limited to:Columbus Public Health (CPH) announces availability of $230,000 annually for HIV Prevention. The36-month grant period is January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2018 and is overseen by the SexualHealth Promotion Program. The HIV Prevention Grant funding is for Centers for Disease Control(CDC) approved HIV Counseling Testing and Referral Services (CTRS), Comprehensive RiskCounseling and Services (CRCS), and CDC approved and mandated evidence-based HIV preventioninterventions and outreach for these interventions. These interventions are also known as EvidenceBased Interventions (EBI) and Diffusion of Effective Behavioral Interventions (DEBI). For detailsabout EBI/DEBI see: The funding also seeks to promote theuse of PrEP as a required component of all EBIs and DEBIs.The City of Columbus, CPH intends to distribute HIV Prevention funds to support seven (7)intervention programs in Franklin County that provide Centers For Disease Control (CDC) EvidencedBased Interventions (EBI) or Diffusion of Effective Behavioral Interventions (DEBI), outreach andCounseling Testing and Referral Services (CTRS) and Comprehensive Risk Counseling and Services(CRCS) to persons at risk for acquiring or transmitting HIV for the three (3) year period from January1, 2016 through December 31, 2018.
