The Proposer shall calibrate and optimize a heavy-duty diesel engine andaftertreatment system to minimize oxides of nitrogen (NOx) emissions during lowload operations;2. The Proposer shall develop a new heavy-duty engine test cycle that wouldrepresent real-world urban tractor and vocational vehicle operations, characterizedby low engine loads that result in low engine-out exhaust temperatures (low loadoperations);3. The Proposer shall characterize engine control module (ECM) broadcast torqueand ECM broadcast fueling rate accuracies at low load operations using enginedynamometer testing.
