Specifications include, but are not limited to:The San Diego County Air Pollution Control District (District) is conducting its annual one day Lawnmower and Garden Equipment Trade-in Event at Qualcomm Stadium, North West parking lot on June 18, 2016. At the event, San Diego County residents turn in their completely equipped and operable gasoline lawnmower, chainsaw, hedge trimmer, and/or string trimmer with the fuel and oil removed. After the lawn mower/garden equipment has been accepted for exchange, eligible residents receive a new cordless, rechargeable, battery-powered electric lawnmower and/or garden equipment at a reduced price on the day of the event. The District provides staff to manage the event, determine the eligibility of the residents, and verify the gas lawnmowers and garden equipment are fully equipped and operable. The District contracts for the disposal of hazardous waste, i.e., petroleum liquids from the traded-in equipment, generated by the event.
