Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to:The City of Lakewood, OH is seeking bids from qualified vendors to provide all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, and expertise required to perform tree removal within the City as specified. Work shall be performed by a company that derives the majority of its annual income from arboricultural work, and whose employees are highly trained and skilled in all phases of tree removal. Twenty-three (23) specific trees to be removed are set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto. 1.Regulations: The successful contractor shall comply with all applicable federal, state, and local ordinances, regulations, licenses and permits necessary to perform work under this contract. Any local permitting fees necessary will be waived. All work shall conform to the latest revision of the ANSI Z133.1, Pruning, Repairing, Maintaining, and Removing Trees and Cutting Brush Safety Requirements. Contractors must certify that employees who work within 10 feet or closer to energized conductors are trained in electrical hazard awareness. Contractor shall verify EHAP or similar training.2.Work period: Work shall be completed within 60 days from the start of removals. Working hours shall be between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, excluding state and federal holidays. Request to work on the weekend and/or holiday is to be submitted in writing to the Director of Public Works and may be permitted at only his discretion.3.Supervision: Contractor shall consult with Chris Perry at (216) 529-6813 of the Division of Streets and Forestry concerning scheduling and details of work. Contractor shall have a competent person in charge of his work at all times to whom directives may be issued, and who shall accept and act upon such directives, and who speaks, reads, and writes English competently
