This project consists of providing approximately 9,000 linear feet of 2-inch to 4-inch HDPE low pressure sanitary sewer (open cut and directional drilling) in the Hawleyville area of Newtown, CT. As part of providing low pressure sewers (LPS), the Contractor shall also be responsible for furnishing triplex and quadplex grinder pumps, providing service connections, simplex and duplex grinder pump stations, cleanouts, air release/vacuum valves, and other system appurtenances. Furthermore, the project includes providing sanitary sewer manholes, approximately 450 linear feet of 8-inch gravity sanitary sewer and connection to an existing sanitary sewer manhole, removing and resetting or replacing existing site improvements, restoring disturbed areas to existing conditions or better, and replacing gravel roads and bituminous concrete on Town and State roads. There are also three alternates included as part of this project which include 1) providing a gravity sewer collection system for the existing Midway Mobile Home Estates site, 2) providing approximately 6,500 liner feet of 4-inch HDPE force main (3,300 in the same trench as the LPS) , and 3) providing a prepackaged submersible wastewater pump station.No additional specifications were given.
