Specifications include, but are not limited to:. Contractor(s) shall provide high-quality guided hunt packages to be awarded as prizes in the Big Time Texas Hunts drawing, in accordance with the following specifications and terms and conditions. All of the hunts are to be conducted in Texas and must provide guide service, meals, lodging, and any required on-site transportation. TPWD intends to award a total of eight (8) hunt packages for the 2016 - 2017 Big Time Texas Hunts drawing as specified below (with option to renew for future hunt packages). 6.1. South Texas Buck White-tailed Deer Hunt for Texas Premium Buck Hunt: 6.1.1. General Description: TPWD anticipates awarding a total of one (1) hunt package. Each hunt package will be a minimum of three (3) to five (5) day hunt for two (2) hunters. Minimum of two (2) full days of hunting activity, three (3) nights of lodging, and eight (8) meals for each hunter is required. 6.1.2. Geographic Area: Hunt must be provided in the South Texas Region, located south of Hwy. 90 from Del Rio to San Antonio and Interstate 10 from San Antonio to the Louisiana state line 6.1.3. Accommodations: Contractor shall provide guide service, meals, lodging, and any required on- s i t e t r a n s p o r t a t i o n . M e a l s t o i n c l u d e q u i c k t o g o b r e a k f a s t f o l l o w e d b y f u l l h o t b r e a k f a s t , a l i g h t lunch, and a full hot dinner. 6.1.4. Hunt Dates: Hunt dates for initial contract term to occur within the prescribed season published in the 2016 2017 Texas Parks and Wildlife Outdoor Annual Hunting and Fishing Regulations, available at http://www.tpwd.texas.gov/regulations/outdoor-annual/ within the dates allowed by any special landowner permits, such as Managed Land Deer (MLD) Permits. Properties not participating in the MLD program will be issued special permits by the Public Hunting Program. Please note the need for permits when submitting your bid response. Hunt dates for any renewalIFB No. 802-16-35150 Page 6 of 32 period to occur within the prescribed season for that renewal period. Hunt periods including a weekend are preferred. TPWD and Contractor to mutually agree upon hunt dates. 6.1.5. Reasonable Opportunity of Harvesting: Hunt area must offer a reasonable opportunity of harvesting mature (mature as determined by the landowner/hunt provider) high quality buck white-tailed deer scoring 150-160+ gross green Boone & Crockett score. Properties not participating in the MLD program will be issued special permits by the Public Hunting Program. Please note the need for permits when submitting your bid response. Big Time Texas Hunts are to be conducted in accordance with standards of fair chase on property that will offer the hunter a reasonable opportunity of harvesting a good to exceptional quality animal of the target species. Noguaranteedkillisrequired. F o r t h e p u r p o s e o f b i g g a m e h u n t s , a r e a s o n a b l e o p p o r t u n i t y i s defined as a hunt area in which the harvest of at least one animal of the specified target species and gross Boone & Crockett score within the prior 12 months is documented, and the hunter is expected to have at least a 50 percent chance of harvesting an animal of similar type and quality. H u n t e r s c h o i c e means that the hunter may select for harvest any animal of the specified target species encountered within the hunt area unless otherwise noted in the hunt specifications. 7.1.6 Permits: Please note the need for any permits when submitting your IFB response 6.1.6. Bag Limit: Bag limit of one (1) buck white-tailed deer, hunter's choice, required. 6.1.7. Guide Service: Full-time guide service and on-site transportation during the hunt is required. 6.1.8. Documentation of Hunt: Contractors shall furnish a digital picture with a minimum of 600 dpi, or a 5" X 7" color photo of the hunter(s) with harvested game to TPWD within 30 days of completion of the hunt. Contractor agrees to allow TPWD the use of these color photos or slides for promotional purposes. Upon TPWD request, contractor agrees to provide documentation of the gross green Boone & Crockett score for harvested animals
