Specifications include, but are not limited to: Watering7.8.1 Maintenance procedures should assure the proper operation of the irrigation system.7.8.2. Provide Colleges Physical Plant Director or designee with any suggested schedule changes and concerns about plant material. Should conditions arise where plant health is being compromised due to neglect, the plant(s) shall be replaced with the same plant of equal size and form at the cost of the Contractor.7.8.3. Promptly repair any damage to the irrigation system caused by the Maintenance Operations at no expense to Owner.7.8.4 For damage caused by vandalism, excavation by others resulting in broken heads, risers, pipe or other similar damage, please provide cost estimate using same type part and manufacturerfor the repair to College, for College to consider approving the repair.7.8.5 Avoid over- and under-watering and notify the owner immediately if drainage problems appear.7.9 Fertilization: (all planting areas and turf grass)7.9.1 March/October fertilizer materials shall be provided by the LSCPA Physical Plant Department.7.9.2 Fertilize all shrubs, groundcover, flower beds and turf grass with fertilizer per label rates of approved fertilizer provided by LSCPA Physical Plant Department.7.10 Trees7.10.1 Any fire ant mounds around or on top of a tree root zone shall be treated immediately withproducts as specified. Do not allow the mound to build on the tree trunk as this can cover thetree root flare and possibly cause injury or death.7.10.2 Trees shall be maintained in a healthy, vigorous growing condition, free from disease and large concentrations of pests. Only prune limbs less than 1 that are a safety issue. Notify Owner of limbs over one (1) inch in size that need to be pruned and Owner shall be responsible. Remove basal sucker growth as needed.
