Specifications include, but are not limited to:Contractor shall furnish all materials, supplies, equipment, permits, tools, scaffolding, ladders, labor, insurance, bonds, supervision, and transportation necessary to clean and paint the exterior roof air ducts, grills and vent covers at the Facility in accordance with the Agreement, including these Specifications. 1.2 Work includes painting 68 round air ducts with the approximate dimensions of 78 diameter x 12 x 4, vent covers and grills. 2.0 Material Specifications 2.1 Paint materials to be manufactured by Devoe High Performance Coatings, GRBCC Safety Red. 2.1.1 DEVRAN 224HS High Build Epoxy Coating, Product Code: DC224 HS, one coat. 2.1.2 DEVTHANE 379UVA Aliphatic Urethane, Product Code DC379 UVA, one coat. 3.0 Project Execution 3.1 Perform work as a turn-key project. 3.2 Provide an estimated time of completion and schedule of work activities. 3.3 Schedule all Facility visits and Work in advance through the HFC project manager. Daily operation of the Facility and scheduled events cannot be disrupted in any manner or to any extent. 3.4 Protect all non-painted areas and equipment when working in the Facility. 3.5 Provide roof surface protection for any equipment, scaffolding ladders or materials. 3.6 Inspect roof areas for damage before and after work is performed with the HFC project manager. Contractor will be responsible for the cost to repair any roof damages associated with the project. 3.7 Thoroughly prepare all surfaces for painting as prescribed by the manufacturer. 3.7.1 Remove all loose blistered, peeling, chalked crazed, map cracked or alligatored and otherwise defective paint down to sound work or bare surfaces. 3.7.2 Clean all work areas with appropriate products to prepare for painting. Remove and cleanup all dust, dirt or sanded paint or other loose materials, then clean and dry. 3.7.3 Perform a test of the epoxy prior to painting to test for potential lifting of the existing coating. This test is to be performed in a small area on one of the structures. Once the test has been completed, the removal of all loose and peeling existing paint will be performed, followed by pressure washing to remove contaminants. 3.7.4 Pressure-wash all exterior areas and elements to be painted. 3.8 Store all paint materials in lockable containers outside of Facility. Areas used for storage or paint mixing shall be protected from damage, staining, spills, spots etc. 3.9 Protect all areas of the Facility using drop cloths, masking or other means to ensure no unpainted areas are damaged by over-spray, dust or other problems. Exterior painting and preparation shall be performed so equipment or other surfaces are not damaged
