Specifications include, but are not limited to:Vendor shall furnish all labor, transportation, equipment, and materials required to cut (mow), bail, and haul away grasses growing on approximately 90 acres of state owned (open land located in Burke County, Morganton, North Carolina). Vendor shall cut (mow), in a professional manner, the grasses no less than twice annually during and/or immediately following the growing season(s). Once the grass is cut and on the ground, vendor shall mechanically bail, or in some manner, collect and haul the grass away. Grass on the property is mixed. Several varieties of fold grasses are present in all fields. It is believed that much of the grass is an unknown variety of fescue, while other existing grasses are orchard and clover. Vendor shall not cultivate, bum, plant, seed, or fertilize property without written permission from the NCDPS. Vendor shall apply no herbicides or pesticides of any kind to the fields without written permission from NCDPS. Note: Vendor may be authorized by NCDPS to fertilize, re seed, and apply herbicides and pesticides to improve grass yields, but written approvals from NCDPS shall be received by the vendor prior to any of these actions. A written request from the vendor to NCDPS shall explain the nature of the proposed action, a separate request for each occurrence, and include any applicable MSDS (data sheets) for chemicals proposed for use on the properties. Vendor shall effect no changes of any kind whatsoever to the property such as, erect structures, install fences, posts, poles, signs, roads, etc, without written permission from NCDPS. Vendor shall not excavate, dig, construct ditches, and terrace or in any manner or form modify the elevation or affect the drainage and general appearance of the property. Vendor shall not use the property for storage, leave vehicles, equipment, or anything else parked or placed on the property without approval from NCDPS. Vendor shall not use the property for any purpose other than the purpose intended and described in this document.
