Specifications include, but are not limited to:SPECIFICATIONS/SCOPE OF WORK 2.1Quiet Mode Requested generators must be able to operate in a quiet mode to contain noise level. Demonstrations may be required to demonstrate ability to operate in this condition. 2.2Late RequestsIt is ISUs intention to give vendor a list of items needed for an event at least 1 week prior. It is possible that ISU may receive a late request for generators or supplies (cords, distribution boxes. etc.) or ISU may have an emergency situation where generators are needed. In the event of an emergency situation, the turnaround time for proving the generators will be 4 hours or less. Please indicate on the Form of Proposal any fees such as delivery charges, emergency response charges, etc. that would apply. 2.3Age of Equipment ISU prefers equipment that is no older than 5 years. 2.4Delivery The vendor is responsible for the delivery, set-up and pick-up of all the equipment. ISU Facilities Planning & Management is responsible for notifying the vendor of the pick-up and delivery times. ISUs normal working hours are 7:00- 4:00 M-F. 2.5FuelGenerators will come filled with fuel and will be refilled by vendor upon return. Refill charges will be added to the invoice as a separate line item charge. Describe the process that will be used for determining the fuel price and related costs for refilling tanks on the Form of Proposal. 2.6Generator TypeGenerators shall be 120/208 volts 3 phase, 4 wire at the required KW requested. Generators shall be equipped with fuel tanks or auxiliary tanks to operate the required rental period without interruption of service. If requested operating time is longer than can be provided with local tanks the vendor shall provide refueling services on site as needed. 2.7 Cancellation of Generator (s) Generator and accessory rentals can be cancelled up to twenty four (24) hours in advance of the generators being delivered and set up without penalty to ISU. Vendor shall include with proposal response the cancellation policy that applies should ISU cancel after the twenty four (24) hr minimum deadline. 2.8 Distribution Equipment All electrical distribution equipment shall be outdoor rated and meet the appropriate sections of the National Electrical Code, latest addition. All single pole and double pole circuit breakers utilized for service to 20 amp duplex receptacles shall ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI). All panels shall be designed to be free standing assemblies. Each of the various distribution pieces of equipment is defined below.
