Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. An initial inspection and service will consist of the following items not necessarily inthe following order:a) Check operation of jacket water heater and/or block heater.b) Check and clear radiator of any obstruction and record anti-freeze protection.c) Check coolant level; add coolant, if necessary.d) Check radiator cap and seal, change as required.e) Check coolant for leaks and advise owner if any are found.f) Replace coolant hoses and flexible connectors as needed.g) Replace belts as needed, and lube all accessible bearing, per manufacturersspecifications.h) Change all filters (oil, fuel and air). Remove and legally dispose of waste oiland filters.i) Test oil, coolant and fuel for analysis of contamination and particulate matter.j) Check for oil and/or fuel oil leaks and advise owner of any.k) For diesel engines, check level in duel tank and add fuel oil additives to preventgrowth of microorganisms in appropriate quantities.l) Check battery voltage and record.m) Check battery connections and electrolyte level, add water as needed.n) Check battery conditions, clean and tighten all cable connections.o) Check battery charger, record battery float voltage and current flow.p) Check exhaust and intake manifolds, mountings and flex connections for loosebolts or leaks. Drain exhaust water trap.q) Check turbocharger tolerances to meet manufacturer specifications.r) Check and clean crankcase vent/breather.s) Inspect generator, perform any routine maintenance required. Lubricatebearings as per manufacturers specifications.t) Inspect governor connections and actuator linkages, adjust and lubricate asneeded.u) Start unit and record starting time. Record battery voltage dip and load currentduring starting time.v) Recheck oil level, add as necessary and, if allowable, adjust oil pressure asneeded.w) If allowable check for proper operation of all fuel injectors using either a thermocouple or a heat gun.x) Adjust governor control for optimum performance and frequency. Recordfrequency.y) Adjust voltage control for proper voltage. Record voltage at A, B and C phasewith and without load.
