Specifications include, but are not limited to:The scope will ultimately include the furnishing of final design documents, suitable for bidding andpermitting, for the facilities and site work, construction, including all labor, materials, equipment, tools,construction equipment and machinery, water, heat, utilities, transportation, insurance, taxes,superintendence, coordination, and miscellaneous services required for the construction. All work shall beperformed in strict accordance with the contract documents that will be developed as part of the designprocess.Nashville Fire Department's desire is to have a pre-fabricated steel building specifically manufactured by "Fire Facilities Steel Fire Training Towers"; custom "The Commissioner" with 2 more floor levels to thetower or "WHP Training towers"; custom General Alarm Series Five-Story Tower or an approved equal.6 floor tower with a flat roof, Custom to meet the needs of the Nashville Fire Department. This tower willbe used as a simulator to provide training for firefighters in a controlled simulated environment, which iscommensurate with actual fire conditions.General Services & Nashville Fire Department are to have final approval on all materials to be usedthroughout the duration of the project.Design and Construction must be completed with Final U&O issued from Metro Codes.Geotechnical work has been performed and the report is attached to the solicitation.Contractor will perform demolition of the existing fire training tower without disturbing adjoining classrooms.Contractor will perform site prep work for new training tower.Contractor will provide and install 2 fire hydrants to new site which will require new water lines.Contractor is responsible for furnishing a dumpster for properly disposing of the materials that are leavingthe facility. The dumpster must be located as to not interfere with the Training Academy functions. Allnecessary safety precautions are to be put in place during this project.Contractor is responsible for all safety conditions at site.
