Specifications include, but are not limited to:The City of Tamarac (the City) is required to have an annual audit performed on theCitys financial statements in accordance with Section 218.39, F.S. The SuccessfulProposer shall be a firm qualified to provide professional financial auditing services forthe City of Tamarac. The firm of Certified Public Accountants shall be required to auditthe Citys Financial Statements, the Police Officers Pension Trust Fund, the GeneralEmployees Pension Trust Fund, the Elected and Appointed Officers and NonRepresentedEmployees Retirement Fund, and the Firefighters Pension Trust Fund.These audits are to be performed in accordance with generally accepted auditingstandards and the standards for financial audits set forth in the U.S. GeneralAccounting Office's (GAO) Government Auditing Standards (2011 Revision), theprovisions of the Federal Single Audit Act Amendments of 1996, OMB Circular A-133,Audits of States, Local Governments and Non-Profit Organizations, the OMBCompliance Supplement and Government Auditing Standards (as amended), and theprovisions of the Florida Single Audit Act, (F.S. Chapter 218, Part III).
