Specifications include, but are not limited to:Provide FERC Part 12 Safety Inspection for the Crescent and VischerFerry Hydroelectric Projects, submit the Independent Consultants' SafetyInspection Report and updated STID. Provide follow-up service.A. Conduct field inspection and prepare draft and final copies of the Part 12inspection reports for the Crescent and Vischer Ferry HydroelectricProjects in accordance with FERC guidelines.B. Give due consideration to all relevant reports on the safety of the projectworks made by or written under the direction of federal or state agencies,submitted under Commission regulations, or made by other consultants.All previous reports will be made available to the Consultant. A listing ofthe applicable reports is provided in the reference section of this scheduleof services.C. Perform physical field inspection of the project works required not lessthan two (2) professional engineers physically participating during eachfield inspection. Review and assess all relevant data including, but notlimited to, settlement, movement, erosion, seepage, leakage, cracking,deterioration, seismicity, internal stresses and hydrostatic pressures inproject structures, their foundations, and abutments, functioning offoundation drains and relief walls, stability of critical slopes adjacent tothe reservoir or project works, and regional and site geological conditions.D. Perform specific evaluations of adequacy of spillways, effects ofovertopping on non-overflow structures, structural adequacy and stabilityof all structures under all credible loading conditions, relevanthydrological data accumulated since the project was last inspected, historyof the performance of the project works through analysis of data frommonitoring instruments, quality and adequacy of maintenance,surveillance, and methods of project operations for the protection andsafety of the public.
