Specifications include, but are not limited to:Adversities in early childhood are, fundamentally, a public health concern and impact health and equity for a lifetime. The Metro Public Health Early Childhood Partnership is composed of five local public health agencies and encompasses five Denver Metro counties: Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, and Jefferson. The Partnership has applied for and hopes to receive funding to continue a regional approach to building shared knowledge and alignment of strategies across metro communities. This collaboration will build on the existing work of each of the Partnership participating agencies, including but not limited to a mental health focus in Public Health Improvement Plans, Maternal and Child Health programming, and systems building related to developmental screening for early identification of developmental delays and pregnancy-related depression. Partnership goals include: 1.Increase understanding of early childhood mental health and toxic stress and its relationship to health equity in public health. 2.Support regional alignment and action for early childhood outcomes in public health. 3.Improve collaboration on early childhood across local public health agencies. Grant objectives include: 1.Prioritize and implement 2-3 regional policy and infrastructure strategies to improve two-generation screening and referral within health care and community settings, leveraging opportunities through Project LAUNCH/LAUNCH Together, public health improvement priorities, and other community mental health grants. 2.Provide 2-3 evidence-based trainings for health care and public health providers to enhance understanding of ACEs/toxic stress in early childhood at the regional level. 3.Develop strategies for early childhood alignment in broader health care and public health efforts. The Partners seek facilitation and coordination expertise to support the work of the Partnership. For the approximate period of July 15, 2016 to July 14, 2017 the facilitator will: 1. Plan and facilitate supportive monthly meeting processes to achieving the objectives of the Partnership, to include: Consulting with Heather Matthews (BCPH Family Health Division Manager) to determine outcomes for each meeting. The facilitator will determine facilitation strategies to achieve those outcomes. Developing agendas based on input from the Partnership, to be distributed electronically at least 36 hours before the meeting. Skillfully facilitating monthly or every other month meetings. Reviewing and distributing minutes to the Partners, to be distributed electronically no more than 48 hours after the meeting. Arranging meeting logistics including time and location agreeable to the Partnership
