Specifications include, but are not limited to:ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The Board of Education of Indian Prairie School District 204, hereinafter known as Owner, is accepting sealed bids for Exterior Wall Repairs/Recoating work at Waubonsie Valley High School located at 2590 Ogden Avenue, Aurora, Illinois. Bidders shall attend a mandatory Pre-Bid Conference at 10:30 am, local prevailing time, on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at the Crouse Educational Center, 780 Shoreline Drive, Aurora, Illinois. After the meeting, Bidders will have an opportunity to visit the project site in order to familiarize themselves with the project. The meetings will be attended by both the Owner and the Consultant. This will be the only time that Bidders will be allowed access to the project site. Participants must present a valid state identification card to gain access to the pre-bid meeting as well as the site visit. Stipulated Lump Sum Bids will be received until 2:00 p.m., local prevailing time, on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the Crouse Educational Center, 780 Shoreline Drive, Aurora, IL 60504. Bids will be publicly opened immediately following. Bids received after designated time and date of bid opening will not be considered. Two (2) copies of Bid must be submitted, on the form provided, along with two (2) copies of all required supplements. Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid must be submitted with the Bid. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding procedures, and to award the Contract in a manner best serving the interest of the School District. Performance, Labor and Material Payment Bonds, each equal to one-hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount, and an acceptable Certificate of Insurance, will be required from the successful Bidder. Bidders must comply with Illinois Compiled Statutes, 820 ILCS 130/, requiring the payment of prevailing wage rates to all laborers, workmen and mechanics working on publicly-funded projects. If, during the time period of work, these rates change, the Contractor shall be responsible for additional costs without any change to the Contract Amount. Contract will be subject to the requirements of the Equal Employment Practices Commission and the Illinois Human Rights Act (HRA) Illinois Revised Statute, Ch. 69, Par. 1 101, et. seq.
