Specifications include, but are not limited to:The University of Minnesota Department of Veterinary Medicine requests construction services to prepare room 147 in the Leatherdale Equine Center for the installation of a standing MRI machine. The Leatherdale Equine Center is located at 1801 Dudley Avenue, St. Paul., MN 55108The University has awarded a separate contract for:Radio frequency shielding enclosure installation including structure, doors and windows, mechanical penetration waveguides, electrical filters, and penetrations required by the magnetic equipment manufacturer.MRI equipment - Halmarq Standing Equine MRI SystemThe selected contractor must closely coordinate their work with the Universitys shielding vendor, Global Partners in Shielding (GPS) Inc.The construction scope of work, in general, will include: demolition of existing fixtures, demolition of the concrete and installation of the new concrete MRI equipment pit, installation of new standalone HVAC fan coil unit, electrical lighting, power and data installation.The Equine Center will be occupied during the construction work. The selected contractor must coordinate their work with the Equine Staff, especially loud, noisy work which may affect the horses, which may require off-hours work.BWBR Architects is the Architect/Engineer of Record for the Project
