Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Districts asset management and maintenance program/solution shall be developed based on the following overall characteristics: a.Simplicity The solution should be straight-forward, readily understood and user friendly. b.Compatibility The solution should be compatible with and integrated with the Districts existing software, processes and programs (including SAP, GIS and the existing asset management software). c.Cost effectiveness The solution should provide the most cost effective approach to management and maintenance of assets. Long-range benefits should likewise include measurable financial benefits and return on investment. d.Sustainability - The solution should be easy to maintain and update by District staff after initial establishment. e.Incorporation of metrics The Enterprise Asset Management system should incorporate performance metrics that can be used to assess the effectiveness of the program on a continual, long term basis. The metrics should be readily measurable.
