Specifications include, but are not limited to:Two lane concrete bridge with steel piling bents and abutments. No headwalls Remove trees and excavate ramp as necessary to provide equipment access below bridge while minimizing disturbance to undamaged slopes All construction activity should be accomplished from the downstream side of the bridge if possible. Construction must be accomplished without damage to bridge Remove debris and failed concrete slope protection Provide suitable fill material from outside sources for void and road approach Properly compact all fill material Grade to match existing adjacent contours Provide non-woven geotextile fabric ( Mirafi N-Series 16 ounce or equal) for placement under stone rip-rap Load, transport and place 24 inch stone rip-rap from adjacent stockpile Rip-rap must be uniformly placed with a minimum of damage to fabric All construction activities shall be performed in a workmanship like manner meeting accepted industry standards. A geotechnical engineering consultant will be on site periodically to assure quality. The need for routine sampling is not anticipated.
