Specifications include, but are not limited to:Contractor shall furnish consumable supplies such as rags, cleaning materials, solvents,rope preservatives, oil, grease, and other lubricants and hydraulic fluid as required.Contractor shall repair or replace renewal parts of the automatic car door operator.Contractor shall repair, clean, and replace all parts of every description made necessaryby wear and tear.The refinishing, repairs of and/or replacement of elevator car enclosures, hoist wayenclosures, hoist way door panels, frames and sills are excluded from the monthlymaintenance service as well as replacement of fluorescent light tubes in elevator cars.Only parts that are correctly designed and suitable in all respects shall be used. TheContractor shall have and maintain on hand locally a supply of spare parts sufficient forthe normal maintenance and repair of the elevator equipment.Contractor shall test all safety devices, governors, etc., as required by the current edition,California Code of Regulations, for elevators and dumbwaiters, at regular intervals notexceeding a period of one (1) year. Every hydraulic elevator shall be field tested atintervals not to exceed five (5) years. The test shall be a load test and any defects thatmay be found in testing and examining the safety devices shall be corrected.Elevators provided with fire service, derailment devices, seismic switches, or other specialcircuitry shall be checked in January and August of every year to make certain that thesedevices are operating correctly as intended. The Contractor shall promptly correct anydefects that may be found in testing and examining the safety devices.Contractor shall examine and equalize tension of all hoisting ropes, renew all hoistingropes, including governor ropes, whenever necessary to insure maintenance of adequatesafety factor as designated by the State elevator inspector, and repair and/or replace allelectrical wiring and conductors extending to the elevator from the mainline switch in the Bid Number 6000001859California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) Re-Bid 2SCOPE OF WORK Exhibit APage 3 of 9machine room and outlets in the hoist ways. The mainline switch except fuses for sameare excluded from the monthly maintenance service.
