Specifications include, but are not limited to:Vendor Requirements.All bidders must possess a current valid State of Missouri or Kansas Electrical Contractors License (at a minimum) and be licensed to provide electrician services within the City of Kansas City, Missouri. Copy of documents to be included under Tab 9 with bid submittal.The Contractor shall provide full service electrical repair, preventative maintenance services, and related technical and training assistance for KCPS. Awarded Contractor is responsible for providing any and all equipment needed for the repairs. All equipment shall be maintained by trained and qualified personnel who are directly employed and supervised by the Contractor.KCPS requires only qualified electricians to do the work outlined in these specifications. Electrician Helpers are only to be utilized where the work requires two or more employees.The Contractor shall notify the District immediately upon discovery of any new problematic issues. KCPS will be the sole determiner if action is required/necessary. If, during the course of work, the Contractor encounters unforeseen conditions which impact the work and which could not initially be evaluated, the Contractor shall not proceed without written authorization of the KCPS representative.It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to assure against any asbestos violations. In the event of any Asbestos detection or suspicion, the Contractor shall immediately cease work, secure the area and contact the KCPS. KCPS will be responsible for any required abatement.The Vendor must respond within the time frame stated below based on the nature of the system failure. System failures are identified by KCPS in the following categories:Non-Critical System Failure: Failure of equipment does not create a life threatening situation and does not interrupt the instructional program of the schools. Response time within twenty-four (24) hours after notification.Repair Necessary: Failure of system does not interrupt the instructional program of the schools, but has the potential to cause a critical system failure and possible life threatening situation if not repaired. Response time within eight (8) hours after notification.Critical System Failure: Failure of equipment creates an immediate life threatening situation and interrupts the instructional program in the school. Response time must be within two (2) hours after notification.G. Vendor to furnish hourly rates for Journeyman Electrician, Second Year Apprentice and Laborer based on the following work times:1. 1st Shift Work. Normal work day.2nd Shift Work. KCPS will have emergencies that will require immediate response outside the normal work day.3rd Shift Work. KCPS will have emergencies that will require immediate response outside the normal work day
