Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Sheriff's Department has an existing K-9 program and an additional canine resource is needed. The one K-9 must be incorporated into the existing K-9 program, and selection of an appropriate K-9 that will fit into the team is essential to the programs success. The K-9 program is supervised by a Sheriffs Sergeant and it is critical that he be the sole evaluator of the K-9 to be purchased and added into the program. Selection of a vendor for these canines is critical to the quality of the canines, and therefore selection of an acceptable bidder must also be determined solely by the Sheriffs Department
