Specifications include, but are not limited to: Introduction. Iowa State University (ISU) is seeking bids for one new Dual-Band Raman Spectrometer on behalf of the ISU Chemistry Department. The Dual-Band Raman Spectrometer will be used for the automated, continuous analysis of plants. The instrument will be attached to an existing rover with a robotic arm. The rover is designed to carry a number of other sensors. Dual-Band excitation with 532 nm and 1064 nm, including a 532 nm laser and a 1064 nm laser Power of 80 mW and spectral bandwidth of less than 0.3 nm for the 532 nm laser Power of 400 mW Spectral bandwidth of less than 0.08 nm for the 1064 nm laser Ability to use in-house developed data collection system Capability of fiber optic probe with a fiber length of at least 12 ft. to meet the needs of the robotic arm WiFi ability to communicate data up to 80 ft. away AC power with ability to automatically switch to backup battery power Backup battery power of at least 3 hours Raman sensor size of less than 14-in by 20.5-in Raman sensor weight not to exceed 50 pounds
