Specifications include, but are not limited to:4.2.3 Cleaning - All uniforms must be cleaned using Valclean, Perchloroethylene, Naptha or petroleum 140F solvent perchloroethylene chemical to render the uniform cleaned. Cleaning with the use of cationic detergents such as Caled Nu-Touch is not acceptable. Please indicate on the "Bidder Response Sheet" the type of chemical you will be using.Examine each uniform garment piece for unusual soiling or stains, particularly those pointed out by the user when the uniform garment was picked up for cleaning.Prespot and/or postspot the uniform garments as per the best established trade practices being careful not to use those chemicals which may cause immediate or latent bleed-off problems.When necessary, removal of red dye which has run into the overlays must be hand done by steam gun.The University may require a trial uniform garment be dry cleaned to evaluate the effectiveness of the cleaning cycle. Final decision to approve the effectiveness of the cleaning cycle rests with the University.4.2.4 Pressing - cleaned uniforms including trousers, coats, overlays, are to be professionally pressed.4.2.5 Finishing - uniforms are to be matched by number, and placed on hangers before delivery. Each pair of pants and jacket has a number. After cleaning, the cleaner hangs up the uniforms in chronological number order and labels the uniform pieces with a rectangular piece of paper that has been pierced through the hook of the hanger. The jackets are placed on 3 racks, and all the pants on 3 different racks. The pants are hung from 1-300 and then the jackets 1-300, each labeled with the slip of paper around the neck of the hanger.Collar inserts laundered.Laundered gloves must be neatly done to avoid wrinkling.
