Specifications include, but are not limited to:Work to be done:Sample the residuals prior to removal from the tank and have it tested for application on crop fields that are not within the Platte River watershed.The contractor will remove the residuals (approximately 100,000-160,000 gallons) from the storage tank to transport vehicles and haul to approved application sites for land application. The existing sludge mixing pump can be used or contractor can supply their own pump.Collect three samples from each truck load of residuals, using sample bottles provided by hatchery staff.Apply the residuals to the agricultural fields in a method that is compliant with the Manure, Paunch and Pen Waste Exemption.Detail of how the work is to be done (techniques, methods):The contractor will collect a sample of the residuals prior to the pumping operation for analysis for application on crop fields.The contractor will secure fields for disposal of residuals. The disposal sites must be fully outside of the Platte River watershed3. The contractor will notify each hatchery 2-3 days prior to arrival for pumping.4. The contractor will use existing pump, or provide a pump, and remove 100,000 160,000gallons of residuals to transport vehicles. Three samples should be collected from each truck load during the loading (beginning, middle and end of load).5. The contractor will transport the residuals to an approved agricultural field and apply theresiduals by either injecting or incorporating into the soil on the same day, as directed bythe Manure, Paunch and Pen Waste Exemption.Required equipment:Transport vehicles capable of hauling 100,000 160,000 gallons of residuals from the site in a time period of 1-2 days.Equipment appropriate for injection or other means of immediate incorporation of residuals into soil at disposal siteHoses capable of connecting from existing sludge mixing pump to truck, with adaptor for collecting samples during loadingTime frame for work to be done:Contractors must be ready to begin work within seven (7) days after receipt of purchase order. Order is anticipated to be issued on approximately July 29, 2016.Total project must be completed within two weeks after award of contract.Minimum experience or education:Prior experience with handling similar volumes of residuals in a short (1-3 day) time frame.Supplemental Project Info:
