Specifications include, but are not limited to:CHIA seeks qualified proposals from non-profit organizations that address the academic, career, and social support needs of underrepresented individuals, from educationally or economically disadvantaged backgrounds. In support of its goals to support the development of a pipeline for a diverse workforce, CHIA seeks proposals from organizations that support undergraduate students and/or health professions graduate degree students.Applicants should detail established programs that meet two or more of the following key areas:Facilitating entry to the health professions in the government sector, with a focus on health policy, data analysis, epidemiology, health research, economics, public policy, public health, actuarial science, public administration, law, and/or public affairsFacilitating entry into Information Technology careers in the government sector, with a focus on data analytics, programming, SAS analysis, network administration, and/or data administrationCareer mentoringPreliminary education about health care career pathways, including the necessary degree programs, requirements for degree programs, training, and experienceFinancial aid information educationStipends (i.e. stipend paid by vendor to the student)OtherThe successful bidder will:Provide qualified students for internships at CHIA (or Eligible Entity) from an established program designed to address the academic and social needs of disadvantaged and underrepresented students who are interested in pursuing a career in health care data, analysis or policy.Monitor students and provide workshops, guidance and mentoring during the internshipProvide an interim report on the students progress in the program to CHIAs Director of Human Resources (or Eligible Entities appropriate leadership and staff)Upon request, meet with CHIAs Director of Human Resources and invited appropriate colleagues (or Eligible Entities appropriate leadership and staff) to discuss the program status and results.Fiscal Terms:This Contract may be modified or amended, only if the amendment is made in writing and is signed by authorized signatories of both parties.Unexpended budgeted funds from one fiscal year do not roll into the following fiscal year.The contractor will be paid for its expenses up to the amount provided for each task in the final project budget.
