Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to:Through this Request for Proposal, Texas A&M University seeks to determine the best qualified vendor to perform distance education graduate programs for the School of Law.Texas A&M University is a tier one research institution and American Association of Universities member. The university consists of 16 colleges and schools that collectively rant among the top 20 higher education institutions nationwide in terms of research and development expenditures. As part of its commitment to continue building on its tradition of excellence in scholarship, teaching, and public service, Texas A&M acquired the law school from Texas Wesleyan University in August of 2013. Since that time, the law school has embarked on a program of investment that increased its entering class credentials and financial aid budgets, while shrinking the class size; hired several new faculty members including nine prominent lateral hires; improved its physical facility; and substantially increased its career services, admissions, and student services staff. The School of Law houses nationally ranked and internationally recognized programs and in the interest of expanding the reach and impact of the Law School to serve a broader audience, we are embarking on the creation and launch of online graduate education within our current law school degree offerings..Any new distance learning branding and marketing efforts must support and preserve the overall look and feel of School of Law graduate programs and over all image of Texas A&M. Most importantly, distance education programs at the Law School will be designed to maintain the overall academic rigor and educational effectiveness of our current on-campus offerings. It is crucially important to our constituent employers, alumni, faculty and on-campus students that the education gained through online is comparable in all ways possible with the educational experience on campus in Fort Worth, Texas. Students enrolled in these online programs will be Texas A&M students and will receive equivalent degrees to current on-campus students.
