Specifications include, but are not limited to:Hampton City Schools is seeking a partner to provide repair services and supplies for computing devices issued to students and teachers under the Digital Learning Program (also known as 1-to-1). I. Background Hampton City Schools (HCS) has approximately 20,000 students. A one-to-one program provides students with a computing device for take-home to students grades 5-12 (approximately 10,000 students and teachers). In the Fall, approximately 6,000 Chromebooks will be added to the one-to-one program for a total of roughly 14,000-15,000 total devices. HCS currently experiences approximately 200 broken iPads per month (primarily cracked screens). Estimated quantities only and in no way offers a guaranteed quantity for the successful contractor. HCS is seeking a partner who will: Provide repair services to both iPads and Chromebooks purchased for the one-to-one program Provide accessories such as power supplies and spare cables for both iPads and Chromebooks II. Requirements 1. Vendor must have a local presence (within 50 miles) where repairs are conducted. 2. Vendor will pickup devices in need of repair not less than once per week from the HCS IT Annex located at 331 Big Bethel Road, Hampton, VA. 3. Vendor will deliver repaired devices to the HCS IT Annex within 30 days of initial pickup. 4. Vendor must have demonstrable experience repairing Apple iPads and Lenovo and Dell Chromebooks (authorized business partners preferred). 5. Vendor must have Internet accessible, browser-based online tracking database system for use by HCS staff for lookup of devices in repair and repair history including type and cost of repair, searchable by HCS barcode number, with summaries available by school and date range. Those proposing to build such a system must have demonstrable experience building and offering such systems. 6. Vendors must provide pictures or samples (preferred) of accessories offered
